What is American zircon?

American zircon, also called American diamond or AD, is top-grade cubic zirconia, a lab-grown crystal cut like a diamond. It is the closest-looking diamond alternative at an everyday price, and the same class of stone fine jewellers set in gold and silver when they want a diamond's look. It is not natural zircon and it is not glass. Every stone-set Metcos piece uses top-grade American zircon, never glass.
